About Me
I’m a freelance writer and registered nurse.
I grew up in the Washington, D.C., area and currently enjoy life in Southern California. I became a nurse because I wanted to help improve the lives of others. I have worked in oncology, kidney transplant, and case management. As a travel nurse, I learned a lot about nursing careers and how health systems work.
My favorite part of being a nurse is the education of both patients and healthcare providers. I’ve witnessed patients transform from feeling overwhelmed to empowered once they understand their medical diagnosis and care plan. I’ve seen healthcare providers transition from frustrated employees to leaders once they understand how new policies can positively impact their work.
I’m passionate about bridging the gap between medical knowledge and public understanding. I started writing in 2024 to share my medical knowledge and empower a larger audience.
In addition to writing, I work with patients and healthcare providers as a case manager. The landscape of healthcare is constantly changing with the growth of AI and social media. Through the noise of increased tech and misinformation, I deliver accurate and relatable content to readers.
When I am not writing, you can find me enjoying beach activities, Jazzercise, and traveling!
